Thank you for the lyrical and beautiful reflection. The first line of this story of wind completely enraptured me. I really needed to see this today as I feel so unmoored in trying to be in this world with these values that feel like it’s continuously being grated . I feel always like I’m about to break. Sometimes I think a lot about how teacher Thay is so slow that he is efficient. That when we are at our most still and calm it is also when the we can play and wild and be and thrive the most fully. Oh, Vanessa, I love this so much- the powerful efficiency of Thay’s slowness, yes!! It reminds me of how sloths, in their slowness, are able to grow these rich microbial ecosystems in their fur, some of which is being thought of as being possible future cures….there is such profound healing in the stopping and slowing, on many levels.
